Readers, your girl is in need of a short break and is hoping to escape for a lovely short city break in Europe. This is all very last minute and rushed, but the basics are I’ll be travelling solo, flying out on Saturday and staying for three days in either Lisbon, Barcelona, Copenhagen and Vienna. I thought I’d fill you all in on my dilemma as I’m hoping to take advantage of my global audience for advice. Maybe you live in these cities or have visited them before – I’m looking for advice on what there is to do and see, any festivals or events going on this weekend? Please feel free to leave comments or email me directly with suggestions – but be quick I have to book my holiday by Friday at the latest! Yikes!

go to vienna, such a beautiful city where the people are incredibly friendly, the food is amazing and you can party until dawn!!
i have no clue about festivals but out of these cities (that i’ve all been to) i would definitely choose vienna as my first choice and barcelona as my second! have fun!
Hey Ashleigh, Vienna does seem tempting. I fell in love with the city just from seeing that classic film ‘Before Sunrise’. Since you’ve visited all the other cities as well could I ask you to elaborate on what the plus points were and the negative ones for each place were?
hi,
in Wien you must absolutely go to the flex: an amazing club near the river.
and obviously Belvedere Museum, the Museum Quartier:this one during the day for the exbitions; the night for chilling out.
hope you enjoy this city.
I’m italian, I live in Siena, but once a year I go to wien.
bye
